I own a pinafore dress, which i really like. But sometimes i wished it would be longer (but only sometimes). I wanted options.
So i made a removable extension, fastened with sew-on snaps:
I think i will make a few more extensions over time – in different colorways or fabrics. So one dress becomes many dresses.
Extending the possibilities to wear a garment, means increasing the number of usages and probably also the bond of affection.
So i do not “need“ a new dress and can spare resources. Does that make sense?
